With conventional fillers, protrusions on the tie plates obstruct removal, requiring the tie plates to be
taken off first.
The improved filler features a concave underside that avoids interference with the tie plate protrusion,
enabling easy removal. This
design allows for detailed inspection of the hinged heel switch l and simple filler replacement, without the
need to remove tie plates.

Performance Benefits
Turnout inspection time was reduced from approximately 70 minutes to 37 minutes, while safety in narrow areas of the turnout was also enhanced.
