Yamato Trackwork System Co., Ltd. was established in 2002 as a spin-off of the railway equipment division - founding business of Yamato Kogyo Co., Ltd. The Yamato Kogyo Group operates integrated steelworks and rolling mills, managing the full production process from raw materials to finished railway track materials. In addition, we are contributing to building a recycling-oriented society through environmentally responsible manufacturing and by promoting the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) of iron resources.

Our core business centers on the design, development and manufacture of turnouts (railroad switch) and derailment and deviation prevention guards for earthquake protection. The turnout plays an extremely important role in changing the route just before the trains arrive at stations. Our company has state-of-the-art unmannedautomated machines that automatically process rails and components for turnouts. However, the rail-bending process still relies on skilled craftsmanship - combining cutting-edge technology with human expertise. Since turnout shapes vary based on their location, some can reach up to 150 meters in length. We have secured large-scale assembly areas to temporarily construct even the largest turnouts, achieving greater precision. Derailment and deviation prevention guards are installed alongside Shinkansen tracks and serve to minimize damage during major earthquakes.
