Structure

When one wheel strikes the rail and causes the opposite wheel to lift, the guard holds the contacting wheel in place, preventing it from shifting. This, in turn, helps prevent the opposite wheel from climbing over the rail and derailing. In the event of a derailment, a deviation prevention stopper mounted on the bogie limits lateral displacement and prevent the train from leaving the track structure.
