Message from the President

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your continued support.


Yamato Steel Co., Ltd. became independent from Yamato Kogyo Co., Ltd. on October 1, 2003. Since then, we have continued to strive for stable and continuous growth by responding flexibly to changes in the environment amid rapidly changing economic conditions both in Japan and overseas.
 
To achieve our goals, we take pride in being part of the Yamato Kogyo Group and are committed to creating high-quality, high-value-added products that expand the possibilities of steel through technological innovation.
 
As the core manufacturing site of the Yamato Kogyo Group in Japan, we focus on accepting project-based orders, primarily H-beams, to meet domestic demand. To remain a global leader, we are updating our rolling equipment to the state-of-the-art models. In addition, we are constantly working to develop human resources capable of contributing overseas and to build next generation production operating technologies using digital transformation (DX) and AI.
Furthermore, we are committed to improving product quality, reducing environmental impact, including CO₂ emissions, and preventing operational issues before they occur, all in pursuit of contributing to a more sustainable society. By actively engaging in joint research with universities, we aim to drive technological innovation and promote knowledge sharing, thereby contributing to the advancement of the industry.
As part of these efforts, we are expanding the sale of our environmentally conscious steel product line, +Green, working to establish a bio-coke business (an eco-friendly alternative to the coal-based coke), and working to upgrade our rolling mills and heating furnaces with the latest models. We are confident that these activities will have a positive impact for our sustainable growth and serve as a strong foundation to fulfilling our social and environmental responsibilities.
