November 1944
Yamato Kogyo Co., Ltd. was established by Asaji Inoue , Representative Director, in Mikunino-mura, Shikama-gun, Hyogo Prefecture (now Himeji City) as a subcontracting factory of Kawanishi Aircraft Co., Ltd.
August 1945
With the end of WWII, the company switched to manufacturing railway equipment and repair services for the Japanese National Railways and various private railways.

Started manufacturing cast steel products at the Nibuno Factory

One 40-ton electric furnace began operation at the newly established Aboshi Factory (currently the Head Office Plant)
