November 1944

Yamato Kogyo Co., Ltd. was established by Asaji Inoue , Representative Director, in Mikunino-mura, Shikama-gun, Hyogo Prefecture (now Himeji City) as a subcontracting factory of Kawanishi Aircraft Co., Ltd.

August 1945

With the end of WWII, the company switched to manufacturing railway equipment and repair services for the Japanese National Railways and various private railways.

September 1958

Started manufacturing cast steel products at the Nibuno Factory

December 1961

One 40-ton electric furnace began operation at the newly established Aboshi Factory (currently the Head Office Plant)

January 1962

Operation of a plate mill at Aboshi Factory

September 1962

Newly established Steel Frame and Bridge Construction Department(currently Heavy Industry Department)

Discontinued steel plate production

November 1969

Established the Heavy-duty Machining Department (currently the Heavy Industry Department)
