01 Versatile Steel Production Powered by
Our Unique "1 Mill-1 Line" System

We have established a unique and highly flexible production system that stands out even on the global stage. With just one manufacturing line, we are able to produce a wide range of steel products, including H-beams, Sheet piles, I-beams, Channels, and Rolled steel for shipbuilding—in various sizes, from H150×150 to H900×300. This streamlined system enables us to fulfill diverse and consolidated orders from a single location, offering maximum convenience for our customers.

Our greatest strength lies in our exceptional flexibility—we can handle everything from small-scale orders of just a few tons to large - scale projects requiring thousands of tons. The capability to offer a complete lineup of H-shaped steel—including large products up to 900mm in width—from a single-mill, single-line facility is truly unparalleled.

Looking ahead, we plan a comprehensive modernization of our rolling line in 2028. By incorporating state-of-the-art rolling mills and cutting-edge IoT technologies, we are building a next-generation production system that will enable the Yamato Kogyo Group to reach a steel output of 8 million tons. As Japan’s mother factory, we will also play a key role in sharing our expertise across our global network - driving innovation and excellence worldwide.

02 Heavy Industry Powered by Japan’s Premier Technology

At the heart of our operations is a fully integrated production system—spanning cast steel, machining, bending and fabrication—that has earned outstanding recognition from Japan’s leading shipyards. With powerful, large-scale equipment and an unwavering commitment to precision and technical mastery, we bring even the most complex manufacturing processes to life. From shipbuilding to industrial applications, we proudly deliver high-performance products that meet exacting standards.

In our cast steel division, we craft an impressive array of components for both shipbuilding and industrial machinery. Each product begins with the careful creation of a mold using custom wood patterns and specialized sand. Molten steel, meticulously refined to exact specifications, is then poured into the mold. As one of the few facilities in Japan capable of producing cast steel products up to 40 tons, we are proud to lead the industry in both scale and quality.

Our heavy fabrication division pushes boundaries of scale and complexity even further, producing parts up to 70 tons. Armed with NC cutting machines capable of slicing through plates up to 150mm thick and state-of-the-art machining tools, we blend modern technology with time-honored craftsmanship. Our highly skilled technicians carry forward generations of bending and welding expertise, enabling us to deliver complex, large-scale components—like stern frames—with precision and excellence.

03 Pioneering Environmentally Friendly Steel Manufacturing

In 2024, we proudly launched our new brand, +Green, a groundbreaking product designed to help support our shift towards a low carbon future and offset the portion of our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions that cannot be internally reduced. By leveraging the environmental value of carbon credits sourced from nature and forests—as well as renewable energy certificates from biomass power—we are taking meaningful steps toward a low-carbon future.

As a responsible steel manufacturer, we are committed to environmental stewardship and driving decarbonization. Our core initiatives include the adoption of electric arc furnace technology, which significantly reduces CO₂ emissions, the installation of preheating systems that repurpose high-temperature exhaust gas from electric furnaces, and the recycling of steel scrap to minimize environmental impact.

In 2020, we became the first in Japan’s steel industry to publish both the SuMPO Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) and the Climate Declaration (formerly known as EcoLeaf and Carbon Footprint, respectively) for six of our products, including H-beams. Certified by the Sustainable Management Promotion Organization (SuMPO), these declarations reflect our commitment to transparency and sustainable manufacturing.
